YAZA YAZA Mentorship

Privacy Policy

Last updated 6 October 2026

1. Who we are

YAZA Mentorship (“YAZA”) is a product and service of Worketech Limited (worketech.co.mw). Worketech Limited develops and operates YAZA and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Worketech Limited, acting through YAZA Mentorship.

YAZA is a mentorship platform, on the web at yazamentorship.com and in our iOS and Android apps, that connects people with mentors and with each other. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the website and the apps.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Account details — your name, email address, whether you join as a mentor or a mentee, and a password if you sign up with your email. If you sign in with Google or Apple, you don't create a YAZA password.
  • Profile details — photo, bio, country, city, nationality, education level, professional field, skills, company, phone number and whether you are open to mentorship. You choose what to fill in.
  • What you post and send — Inspire posts (text, images and links), comments, likes and reposts, connection requests and their introduction messages, and messages to your connections.
  • Safety actions — the people you block and the posts or comments you report, with the details you include.

Information collected automatically:

  • Technical information needed to run the service, such as the device and browser you use and, if you allow notifications, a device token so we can send them.
  • Preferences stored on your own device, such as light or dark appearance, layout, saved items, and which sign-in method you used last (so the sign-in page can point you to it). These stay on your device.

Information from Google or Apple, if you choose to sign in with them — see sections 4 and 5.

The YAZA website does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

3. How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account and sign you in — with your email and password, with Google, or with Apple.
  • To show your profile to other members, so the right people can find you and connect.
  • To deliver your connection requests, messages, posts and comments.
  • To send you notifications and account emails, such as verification codes. If you sign in with Google or Apple, your email address is already verified by them, so we don't send you a code.
  • To keep the community safe: to act on reports, enforce our Terms of Use, and prevent abuse.
  • To operate, maintain and improve the service, and to respond when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to show you advertising.

4. Information we receive from Google

If you sign in with Google, we ask Google only for the basic information needed to sign you in — the openid, email and profile scopes. From these we receive:

  • your Google account identifier, so we can recognise you next time you sign in;
  • your email address, which becomes the email on your YAZA account;
  • your name and profile picture, which we use to fill in your YAZA profile. You can change both afterwards.

Google confirms that your email address is verified, so you don't need a verification code. The first time you sign in, we ask you to confirm whether you are joining as a mentor or a mentee, check your name, and complete your profile before you can use YAZA.

How we use it. Only to create your YAZA account, sign you in, and pre-fill your profile. We do not ask for access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google data, and we cannot see your Google password.

How we store and protect it. It is kept with the rest of your account information, on the same systems and with the same protections described in section 7.

Who we share it with. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers who host YAZA on our behalf, or where the law requires. Your name and profile picture are visible to other YAZA members as part of your profile; your email address is not shown on your public profile.

Limited Use. YAZA's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access. You can remove YAZA's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. To delete the information we hold as well, see section 8.

5. Information we receive from Apple

If you use Sign in with Apple, we ask Apple only for your name and email address. From Apple we receive:

  • a unique identifier for your Apple account that is specific to YAZA, so we can recognise you next time you sign in;
  • your email address — or, if you choose Apple's Hide My Email, a private relay address that Apple creates for YAZA and forwards to your real inbox. With a relay address, we never see your real email;
  • your name, which Apple shares only the first time you sign in to YAZA. We use it to fill in your profile, and you can change it afterwards.

Apple confirms your email address, so you don't need a verification code. As with Google, the first time you sign in we ask you to confirm whether you are joining as a mentor or a mentee, check your name, and complete your profile.

How we use, store and share it. Only to create your YAZA account, sign you in and pre-fill your profile — never for advertising, and we never sell it. It is stored and protected with the rest of your account information (section 7) and shared only as described in section 6. Your email address, real or relay, is not shown on your public profile. We do not receive your Apple ID password or any other information from your Apple account.

Emails to a relay address. If you hide your email, the account emails we send go through Apple's relay service to your inbox. If you turn off forwarding for YAZA in your Apple settings, you won't receive them.

Removing access. You can stop using Sign in with Apple with YAZA at any time — on an iPhone or iPad in Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple, or at account.apple.com under Sign-In and Security. This doesn't delete your YAZA account; to delete the information we hold as well, see section 8. Apple's handling of your information is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

6. How your information is shared

  • With other members — your profile, and the posts and comments you publish, are visible to other signed-in members. Messages are visible only to you and the person you are talking to.
  • With service providers — companies that host and run YAZA on our behalf, such as cloud hosting (Google Cloud) and email delivery. They may use it only to provide those services to us.
  • For safety and legal reasons — when we believe it is needed to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the safety of our members and others.
  • If YAZA is reorganised, merged or sold — in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

7. Storage and security

Your information is stored on cloud infrastructure provided by Google Cloud. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your device and our servers, and limit access to your information to the people and systems that need it to run YAZA. No online service can be perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it to yourself — or, if you sign in with Google or Apple, keep that account secure, ideally with two-step verification.

8. Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is open. To delete your account and the personal information associated with it, email us at support@yazamentorship.com from the address on your account. We will confirm once it is done. Some information may be kept for longer where the law requires it, or where it is needed to resolve a dispute or act on a safety report.

You can delete individual posts and comments yourself at any time, and edit or remove most profile details from your profile page. If you signed in with Google or Apple, deleting your YAZA account doesn't change your Google or Apple account — you can also remove YAZA there (sections 4 and 5).

9. Your choices

  • View and update your profile at any time.
  • Block anyone, and report content that breaks our Terms of Use.
  • Turn notifications on or off in your device or browser settings, and in YAZA's Settings.
  • Ask for a copy of your information, or for it to be corrected or deleted, by emailing support@yazamentorship.com.

10. Children

YAZA is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us their information, contact us at support@yazamentorship.com and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.

12. Contact

Questions about this policy or your information: support@yazamentorship.com. YAZA Mentorship is provided by Worketech Limited — worketech.co.mw. You can also read our Terms of Use.

In short: we collect what is needed to run a mentorship community, and we never sell it. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we use only the basics they share — your name, your email address (with Apple, possibly a private relay address) and, from Google, your profile picture — to set up your account.
